TOBACCOFREE/TOBACCO FREE FLORIDA & FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY HAVE PARTNERED TO MAKE BREAKFAST GREAT
Tobacco Free Florida in partnership with Florida State University will unveil 10,000 boxes of the 2009 Limited Edition Florida State Seminoles Frosted Flakes cereal. This special edition cereal contains information on Tobacco Free Florida and encourages fans to be free from tobacco.
Tobacco Free Florida is the exclusive sponsor of this limited time cereal, costing only $2.99 a box, that will be available beginning in late October at participating grocery stores throughout the state, including Publix, Winn Dixie, Albertsons and Sweetbay. Sales for this cereal will be offered while supplies last.
Florida State University athletes supporting the campaign efforts by leading a tobacco free life include: Christian Ponder, Dekoda Watson, Rodney Hudson and Kendrick Stewart. These athletes are committed to staying tobacco free and support the campaign's efforts to help millions of smokers beat their addiction.
Each took part in this initiative with 15-second public service announcements, which will air in the stadium and on television during their games. Developed with a cessation focus, these public service announcements create awareness of the Florida Quitline and the free resources available to those who wish to quit. The athlete tells the viewer it is now their turn to be tobacco free and encourages them to call the Florida Quitline.
If you are interested in quitting, please contact the Florida Quitline at 1.877.U.CAN.NOW or www.floridaquitline.com.
